"My name is Spyros Kanthiliotis and I am a professional awarded chef of Greek traditional cuisine. After many years of hard work I have now opened my own restaurant in my home town of Messolonghi, Greece.
At the young age of 15 I started to work as an apprentice chef at an Italian restaurant. From that experience I enhanced my culinary skillsets and knowledge which in turn increased my love of cooking.
After working in a lot of different restaurants I decided that it was time to go to a culinary school to obtain my culinary degree and make my dream of becoming a professional chef a reality. After I graduated top in my class I was able to open my own restaurant called “To Enalaktiko (translation: The Alternative). Thus, on October of 2013 I started to serve my culinary delights to the citizens of my home town with my beautiful wife, Atlani at my side.
Every day we serve freshly cooked Greek traditional dishes including our famous “village pie” with it’s own hand made filo dough as a side dish. Our menu is enriched with my own personal recipes including items cooked on the grill with the goal of satisfying everyones tastes and desires.
